2000 National Open Varsity Students Register

Two thousand students have been admitted earlier, yesterday in Lagos at the
National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) for the academic year
The ceremony registration fourthin series, took place simultaneously at national level in the 35 study centers.
In his welcome address, Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Jegede Olugbemiro, said that the admission of students at different academic centers in the session, students had raised about 100,000 inhabitants.
Jegede, who was represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Dr. Femi Peters, said distance learning obtained from the National Open University, is demanding and exhausting, that contrary to what obtains in the “ method.”
“ We try to make all our operations in the e-learning platform.
“ We have already concluded agreements on all examinations to the e-study and assignments, advice and even exclusion, “he said.
He said that the young faces many problems, noting, however, that all hands are on deck to deal with it.
Jegede said not many people have admitted to institutions of higher education due to limited space. “ This leaves us with the opportunity to enter the Open and Distance Learning (ODL), which has affected the lives of people who have succeeded. ”
“ We want to appeal to the various state governments to assist the study centers in the supply of equipment and infrastructure, the roads of our dream to educate the masses of Nigeria and education closer their door, “he says.
The Vice-Chancellor asked the students to carry out “ ingenuity in time management and discipline, and try to give the many attractions that have been used to achieve their goals in life.”
Lake, Director of Studies Center, Mr. Kehinde Obidairo urged students to focus on their studies and see the problems facing in May as part of its study as a step to higher grounds.
