Jennifer Lombardi won a law degree; Nathaniel Lombardi wins BA
Jennifer M. Lombardi in 2002 graduated from Albert Lea High School and 2006 graduate of the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and visual communication, received his Juris Doctor degree cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul on May 17.
Nathaniel J. Lombardi, a 2005 graduate of Albert Lea High School, received his Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in English and psychology from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul on May 23.
Who grew up in Albert Lea, Albert Lea educated by public schools, karate Northland, Ascension Lutheran Church, Albert Lea Youth Soccer Association.
They are the sons of doctors. Bev and Joe Lombardi, the residents of Albert Lea in the last 20 years.
Gustavus Announces Class 2009-10

Andrew S. Ball’s son, Steve Ball, Albert Lea, and Edith Brink of Grand Rapids, attended the opening ceremony at SJU. Ball received a BA in History.
Rolland Trent Miller, son of Craig Miller and Kathleen Albert Lea, attended the opening ceremony at SJU. Miller received a Bachelor of Arts in biology.
Kathleen Kjos, Kristina Nesse graduate of San Benito
Two students attended the opening ceremony at the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph on May 9.
Kjos Kathleen, the daughter of Chuck and Julie Kjos Albert Lea, attended the opening ceremony on CBS. Kjos received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication.
Kristina Nesse, daughter of Chuck and Judy Nesse of Albert Lea, attended the opening ceremony on CBS. Nesse received a BA in economics and political science, to the honor of magna cum laude. Magna cum laude indicates a weighted average of 3.75-3.89.
Volkmar Elizabeth graduated from St. Olaf
Volkmar Elizabeth Albert Lea attended St. Olaf College 120th commencement ceremony on May 24.
Volkmar has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish, cum laude. She is the daughter of Neil and Mary Jo Volkmar Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School.
Brady Hanson St. Olaf College in honor
Albert Lea Brady Hanson has been recognized for academic achievement at St. Olaf College Honors Day convocation on May 1. Honors Day recognizes all full-time and older students who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or greater, and all the young full-time, second and first year students who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.60 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The convocation also recognizes students who received scholarships and fellowships, including Rhodes scholars, Fulbright scholars and members of the leadership and academic honor societies.
Hanson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hanson Albert Lea.
Hubly appointed Joseph C. E. Myers Fellows
Hubly Joseph, a 2009 graduate of Albert Lea High School, is the recipient of the $ 1000 “Charlie” Myers Economic Development Grant.
Hubly was accepted at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, where he has big plans for human resources. He is the son of Leo and Mary Hubly of Clarks Grove.

Rochester Community and Technical College has announced its spring semester 2009 graduates.

Wueslley Cameron appointed dean of the list
Clarks Grove wueslley Cameron was appointed dean of the list at the University of Sioux Falls for the spring semester of 2009. To be included, the student must obtain a GPA of 3.5 or better.
She is the daughter of James Cameron and Kathleen Cameron and junior in elementary education.
Albert Lea students receive degrees from NDSU
Benjamin M. Woodside Zimmerman and Ted Taylor, both of Albert Lea, a graduate of the University of North Dakota in Fargo next spring semester of 2009.
Woodside received a degree in management science.
Zimmerman received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Caleb Dean DeVries on the list
Caleb DeVries, son of Jan DeVries DeVries and Faribault Hollandale Kim was appointed to the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management of the spring semester 2009 dean of the list.
To be included a student must obtain a CGPA of 3.66 or higher.
DeVries, a 2007 graduate of Albert Lea High School, is a specialty finance junior.
Kaas Devin Dean List
Kaas Devin, son of Timothy and Dawn Kaas Glenville, has been named to the spring 2008-09 Dean of the list at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato. Kaas is a 2005 graduate of Glenville-Emmons High School.
To be included, the student must obtain a GPA of 3.5 or better.
Miller reel in the Dean’s list
Winding Miller, daughter of Lori and Jeffrey Miller, of New Richland, was named to the spring 2008-09 Dean of the list at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato. Miller is a 2008 graduate of Albert Lea High School.
To be included, the student must obtain a GPA of 3.5 or better.
Michael Dean, Greibrok list
Greibrok Michael, son of Dwight and Patricia Greibrok of Glenville, has been named to the spring 2008-09 Dean of the list at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato. Greibrok is a 2006 graduate of Glenville-Emmons High School.
To be included, the student must obtain a GPA of 3.5 or better.
Gaudi Laura, Abigail Randall Scholarship
Gaudi Laura Abigail and Randall were awarded $ 500 scholarships for Church Women United.
Gaudi is the daughter of Bryce and Cindy Gaudi and a 2009 graduate of Albert Lea High School. She plans to attend Bethany Lutheran College and major in communications.
In high school, was active in choir Gaudi, volleyball and softball. It has also been a member 4-H Ambassador and volunteer for nursing homes and participated in music in his church. It is also a member of the National Honor Society.
Randall is the daughter of Timothy and Melody Randall. He graduated from Albert Lea High School 2009. She plans to attend Oral Roberts University and major in nursing.
Randall was at home and the school attended the Hollandale Christian School eighth grade. At Albert Lea High School, was active in track and cross country. Has a mission trip to Colombia, has been active in her church, 4-H and was chosen by the girls in his state junior years.
Church Women United is comprised of women from different churches who meet four times a year with a Christian theme of each session.
A salad luncheon is held annually in May and personal donations are donated to fund these scholarships.
