University of Phoenix Expands Advanced Degree Programs; Adds Ph.D. in Nursing and Educational Specialist Degrees

University of Phoenix, today announced the launch of two doctoral programs, online programs – a Doctor of Philosophy Master’s Degree in Nursing Sciences (Ph.D.) and a specialist in education (Ed.S.) degree. Registration for both programs are currently engaged in the Ed. S. program beginning this month, and the Ph.D. program in the care planned, in August. Both programs are administered by the University of the School of Advanced Studies (SAS).

“We are very proud to add Ph.D. in nursing and education specialist degrees in our robust file bids,” said Jeremy Moreland, Ph.D., Dean of the School of Advanced Studies. “The program of care is for people who currently control in the care, already a full-time experience in nursing or a related field, and staff are currently in an area of care or health care, with the primary aim a strong research, higher education and better training for people to move in one direction, management and / or a possibility of nursing care center. ”
According to a recently launched by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing report, U.S. nursing schools diverted almost 50,000 applicants, and graduates of bachelor, nursing in 2008 due to a shortage of qualified teachers and other factors.
