UVA-Cyl Villalar Foundation and create a Master of Cultural Heritage Management beginning in the 2010-11 course

The rector of the Universidad de Valladolid (UVA), Evaristo in April, and the chairman of the Courts and the Foundation Villalar-Castilla y Leon, José Manuel Fernández Santiago, today signed an agreement for the development of a Master of Cultural Heritage Management which will be launched from year 2010-2011.
The new postgraduate qualification will target the training of specialists in heritage management, history and culture and the subjects taught to students will focus on the special unique features of Castile and Leon.
The Masters, which will cost about 1,500 euros, has a minimum number of seats and a maximum of 15 and 35 with the award of five scholarships in terms of academic and income of the family unit.
According April said the signing of this agreement is intended to develop a curriculum tailored to the new post-graduate course which is then submitted to the verification process of external evaluation of the National Quality and then by the adoption of the Castilla y Leon.
Also, the chancellor of the academic institution said in courses other than UVA and is related to the management of heritage and cultural industries and, as he added, this new Master is a proposal to professionalize the field.
For his part, Santiago Fernandez noted that although the foundation is the first time you sign such an agreement with a university’s role presiding entity is “to enhance everything that has to do with the identity” of Castilla y Leon.
In this sense, the president of the Foundation Villalar-Castilla y Leon noted that this new course is open to Masters graduates and graduates of all types who want to perform leadership and management culture.
Also, Santiago Fernandez stressed that this is a professional management culture, on the one hand, to develop the tourism value and, secondly, to develop training for professionals in the law and economics involved in the management of this world.
POSTGRADUATE COURSES MORE
On the other hand, Evaristo said in April that postgraduate training will increasingly “more weight” in all Spanish universities, particularly in the UVA representation these courses will have a “most important” in the future.
In this sense, the chancellor said that postgraduate courses were developed “really positive” in the last year since the 2007-2008 academic year were enrolled in this type of training, while 120 students in the academic year 2008 — 2009 were 322 students who applied for these courses.
However, in April stressed that it must be remembered that at this moment there are different post because on the one hand there are the degrees of UVA (master’s or specialist degree) and, secondly, the Masters officials are so said that he hoped that in future all titles are recognized as official.
